Our choice of Laser Drill is “Waterlase MD”

If you are one of the many people who have experienced fear or anxiety at the thought of dental treatment, and in particular the need for the dreaded ‘drill’, then you will be relieved to hear that, thanks to our high-tech approach in dental treatment, there is now a far more subtle alternative.

With the use of Waterlase MD laser equipment, we can now conduct your drilling dental treatments at our clinic with greatly improved comfort and convenience to you.

How does Waterlase MD work in decay removal ?

Waterlase uses the Hydrokinetic™ process which gently washes away decay with laser-energized water droplets. Hydrokinetic energy is produced by combining a spray of atomized water with laser energy. The resulting energy gently and precisely removes a wide range of human tissue including tooth enamel (the hardest substance in the body), and soft tissue (gum tissue) with no heat or discomfort in most cases.

What are the Benefits of Waterlase?

  • Heat and vibration are the causes of most of the discomfort associated with the drill.
  • Because of the pinpoint accuracy of the Waterlase, we are able to retain more of your natural tissue.

Proven Technology, Comfortable Care

Lasers have long been the standard of care in medicine for many surgical and cosmetic procedures such as LASIK, wrinkle removal, hair removal and many others.

Thousands of dentists around the world have performed millions of procedures with less need for shots, anaesthesia, drills and post-op numb lips.

Our Principle dentist – Dr Knox Kim, has been the leader of Waterlase users in Sydney for its application to decay removal since 2004 and has published the review articles on it for the professional colleagues on many dental journals and magazines.

Typically, usage of Laser (instead of drill) requires fewer injections, since the body responds much more kindly to laser rather than traditional dentistry.

At our clinic, we invite you to be amazed and benefit of which has been proven to :

  • Enhanced patient comfort – no drilling high-pitch noise
  • Increased accuracy and precision with the aid of Microscope enhanced dentistry
  • Reduced “after treatment “ discomfort
  • Improved dental results by keeping the cavity size smaller than those with drills
  • Fewer and less invasive treatments
